Rafael Lopez was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia. He was raised in Arlington, Virginia. Mr. Lopez graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management. In 2002, he was appointed Zoning Administrator in the Town of Dumfries. In 2004, he was elected to the Dumfries Town Council, Virginia’s oldest continuously chartered Town, and served a four year term. Mr. Lopez was the Republican Candidate for Virginia State Delegate in 2009 and narrowly lost the election. He is the founder and president of Rafael Lopez and Associates, a local government relations firm. He is a board member of Our Virginia Now State PAC. He resides in Triangle, Virginia with his wife and two children.
